JUDY, Matilda Hunter - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Matilda Hunter Judy, widow of John F. Judy, founder of the village of Judyville, who died in 1931, died at her home in Attica at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon at the age of 87 years. She was born in Warren County, March 27, 1855, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Hunter, pioneer residents of Warren County.  She was married to Mr. Judy on December 16, 1877. One isster, Mrs. Avilla Bertrand, Williamsport and four children survive: Miss VeLera Judy, NY City; Mrs. Orrie Milligan, Warren County; Ole R. Judy, Judyville and Mrs. Herman Briggs, Attica. Funeral services were held at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence with Rev. O.L. Collier officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.   --- transcribed by kbz
