JORDAN, Milford C. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Milford C. Jordan, age 56, a resident of Williamsport Rt 2, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday July 30, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville where he had been a patient six days. Mr. Jordan was born Sept 22, 1906 near Covington, the son of Burton and Maud Hickman Jordan. He was married May 7, 1944 to Iva Mae White, who survives. He had been employed as a car man's helper at the C&E I Shops in Danville for 14 years prior to retiring, due to ill health, May 23, 1960. Prior to that time he farmed. Mr. Jordan was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Covington. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one daughter , Linda Lou, at home and his stepmother Mrs. Emma Jordan of Covington. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the local Assembly of God Church where the body will lie in state one hour. The Rev. Edgar Allen will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
