Lester Kelly Jordan, 62, of 118 N. Logan, was found dead yesterday afternoon (March 23, 1969) under the Mill St. Bridge. Coroner Don C. Goodwin attributed death to natural causes. He was found by a fisherman. Born July 19, 1906, in Lexington, Miss., he was a son of Harry and Minnie Jordan. He was an Army veteran of World War II. A resident of Danville 20 years, he was a painter and construction worker. Also surviving are three sons, Jerry of Danville Route 3, Harry of Covington, Ind., and James, Danville; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Jane) Mills, Danville and Mrs. Larry (Freddie) Goodin of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also, a brother Billy Jordan of New Orleans, La., and a sister, Mrs. Hester Liston of Kilmichael, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Mr. Jordan was a member of the South Side Church of Christ. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lakeside Funeral Chapel with W. R. Goden officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. --waw
