JONES, Sylvia Miller - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Waynetown, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Sylvia M. Jones, 68, of Wingate, died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday (May 27, 1970) in Lafayette. She had been a patient two days. Born June 23, 1901 in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Charles L. and Margaret Ann Wilson Miller. She was married Jan 30, 1929 to Carl W. Jones, who died in October, 1968. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ in Wingate and Wingate Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 336. She also was a member of the American Legion and Wingate Home Extension Club. Mrs. Jones attended Fountain County schools. Survivors include two sons, Dale and Dallas, both of Wingate, four grandchildren, a brother, Homer Miller of Williamsport; and an aunt. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Friday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. Burial will be in Wingate Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
