Waynetown - Mrs. Nellie E. Jones, 74 of Waynetown, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, after an illness of several months. She was born Dec. 3, 1894, a daughter of Thomas J and Minnie E. Phillips Wilson. On Sept, 11, 1912, she married Alonzo M. Jones , who preceded her in death in May, 1941. She was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and the Delta Alpha class of that church. Survivors include three sons, John W., Ralph H. and Richard, all of Crawfordsville; two daughter, Mrs. Grace Campbell of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Louise Smith of Indianapolis; three grandsons, Jeff Campbell and John Richard and Lonnie Dale Jones, all of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Lola Thompson, Mrs. Sarada Harlan and Mrs. Hollis Barker, all of Waynetown. She was preceded in death by an infant son, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Servies=Thomas Funeral Home here, with Rev. Rob Jones officiating. Burial will be at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday.
