Attica- Funeral services were held Saturday morning, Feb 23, at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Attica for Mrs. Myrtle Jones, age 71, who had been residing the past five weeks at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Carl Roebling in Attica. Mrs. Jones died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb 20, at the home of a neighbor. Born May 11, 1891, at Kramer, she was the daughter of George and Armilda Auter Best. She had resided most of her life in the community. She was married in June 1910 to Orville Jones, who preceded her in death in August, 1961. Mrs. Jones was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Auxiliary to the Moose Lodge. Survivors include a son, Earl of Chicago; her daughter, Mrs. Roebling, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The Rev. Charles Remaklus officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery with the DeSutter Funeral Home in charge.
