JONES, Mable Hopper - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mable M. Jones of Danville, Illinois, age 79, died Sunday evening, August 21, in Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Fountain County, October 22, 1903, the daughter of James W. and Minnie Dale Pugh Hopper. She was married to Elva C. Jones, who died December 22, 1944. Mrs. Jones attended the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Danville and had retired in 1965 after working for Millikin Dry Cleaners for 20 years.

  Survivors include a son, Jerry D. of Danville; three sisters, Ruth Lilley and Pauline Waterstraat, both of Attica, and Anna Carpenter of Danville; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday evening at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Gary Motta officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
