JONES, Edith Shamp - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Edith M. Shamp Jones, 89, of 6612 W. County Road 300 S died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday  July 30, 2002 in her daughter’s home. She had been ill four months.  Born March 28, 1913 in Fountain County she attended Attica HS. She lived in Lafayette since 1946. She married James L. Jones on July 13, 1929 in Fountain County. He died Feb 18, 1994.  Mrs. Jones was a homemaker. She was a member of West Point United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Golden Oldies. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Rose Miller, Marcia Martin and Patricia McCoy all of Lafayette; and two sons, Donald L. Jones of Colfax and Jim Jones Jr (wife Bonnie) of West Lafayette. - kbz
