JONES, Earl - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

KINGMAN—Earl Jones, 79, died Monday at Mercy Hospital at Urbana, Ill., where he had been a patient. Mr. Jones was born April 12, 1891, in Fountain County near Cates, the son of Calvin and Nancy Lindley Jones. He married Esta Isley on April 11, 1913, who survives. He was a farmer in the Centennial community area prior to his retirement. Mr. Jones was a member of the Centennial Community Church, Yeddo F&AM Lodge 636 and Yeddo Order of the Eastern Star 313. He is also survived by one son, Charles, of Crawfordsville; one daughter, Mrs. L. W. (Uma) Hepler of Champaign, Ill.; two brothers, Wayne Jones of Kingman and Gerald Jones of Rockville; one sister, Mrs. Aline Reed of Veedersburg; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Woodrow Funeral Home at Kingman with Rev. Bennett Fulp officiating. Burial will be in the Bonebrake Cemetery near Veedersburg. Friends may call between 7 and 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
