Covington - Doris Murray Jones, 63, Covington, died at 11:25 p.m. July 17, 1992 at Covington Manor Health Center. She was born Feb 5, 1929 in Fountain County, daughter of Virgil L. and Anna Wolfe Warrick. She married Gene Murray Jan 18, 1947. He preceded her in death Jan 23, 1965. She married Asbury Jones. He preceded in death. She was a life resident of Covington and attended Covington schools. She was a beautician and owned a beauty shop for 15 years. She was a member of Covington First Assembly of God and enjoyed her grandchildren. Surviving are a son, Tom (Kathy) Murray; two grandchildren, Kristy and Brad Murray; a brother, Virgil L (Bud & Norma) Warrick;a brother-in-law, Guthrie Richardson; a twin sister, Mrs. Gordon (Dolores) Suiters, Mancita, Ga; twin sisters, Mrs. William (Jean) Davis, Bartonville, Ill and Mrs. Larry (Joanne) Fuchs, Litchfield, Ill; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Virginia Richardson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Covington First Assembly of God with Steven Hayden, Loren Todd & Paul Kent officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shelby Funeral Home, Covington was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
