JONES, Arthur Roy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Arthur Roy Jones, age 77, of Covington Rt 2, a retired farmer, died unexpectedly at his home at 4:45 p.m. Sunday Sept 17. He was born Oct 30, 1883, in Highland Twp, Vermillion County, a son of Thomas and Ann Lawrence Jones. On Feb 17, 1904, he married Viola Clem, who survives. Mr. Jones resided in Mound township, most of his life. He was a member of the Warren County Farm Bureau and attended the State Line Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife: a daughter, Mrs. Helen Ricketts, at home. He was preceded in death by a sister. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Moon officiated. Burial was in the Lower Mound Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Glen Fowler, Cecil Adams, A J Crouch, Laurence Vickery, Hyta Wright and Lester Burghart.
