Sidell, Ill.—Paul C. Jolley, 86, Sidell, died at 3:17 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 1989 at Carle Hospital, Urbana, Ill.
He was born May 9, 1903 in Waynetown, the son of Edward E. and Anna Snyder Jolley. He moved to Illinois at the age of 12. He was married Aug. 18, 1925 in Fairmount, Ill., to Alma Jeane Finney, who survives.
He was a prominent farmer in the Catlin-Jamaica-Fithian area for many years. He was a member of the Sidell United Methodist Church, Broadlands Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star. He had served on several boards, including Farmers Elevator, Illinois Grain Corporation, local grade and high schools, Vermilion County school trustee, Vermilion Nitrogen and was the first president of Eastern Illinois Fair.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Clifford, Fairmount, and Keith, Indianola, Ill.; five grandchildren, Mrs. David (Kathy) McGee, Catlin, Ill.; Dana Jolley, Fithian, Ill.; Kim Jolley, Fairmount; Mrs. Matt (Karla) Ferber, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Mrs. Al (Leslie) Marklin, Columbia, Mo., and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Funeral services wee at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Sidell United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Garabrant officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola
