The funeral of Mrs. Margaret E. Johnston who passed away at her home near Milo Friday was held at the Ferry Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the service conducted by the Rev. JH Parrott. Mrs. Glenn Greenlee sang Going Down the River and In the Garden, with Mrs. LB Ferry playing piano accompaniments. Burial in Newton Burial Park. Pallbearers were AW Cooper, Ralph Wells, EA Kuhlman, Wm. L. Roseman, Henry Roseman and Everett Merrit. Mrs. Johnston was a native of Indiana born in Fountain County February 8, 1865. Married April 5, 1890 to Hugh P. Johnston in Fountain County and lived there until 1908, when they moved to this county, locating near Milo. Mr. Johnston passed away several years ago; also a son, Harley E. Johnston; surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Grace Culbertson and two sons, Harry G. Johnston and Ernest Johnston all of Walker, a son, Raymond of the home address. Another son, Huey Johnston resides at Marion, Ill. 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild are also living. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the Christian Church for many years. - kz
