The Hillsboro community was grieved by relatives and friends at the untimely death of Miss Mary Lu Johnson, 19, of Indianapolis at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Tuesday.
She was the only daughter of Julius and Resa Snyder Johnson, born in Indianapolis in
Dec. 1946 where she spent her entire life. She was in her sophomore year in a college in Columbia, Missouri. Miss Johnson returned home two weeks ago when she became ill and entered the hospital a few hours before her death.
The parents survive and her mother was born and reared in Hillsboro, where she has a number of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday Feb. 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Indianapolis. The Fall Creek Flanner - Buchanan mortuary was in charge and burial was in Crown Hill cemetery, Indianapolis.
