Covington, Ind. - Mrs. Lavinia V. Johnson, 81, resident of 805 N Sixth since 1930, died in her sleep yesterday (May 14, 1966) at her home. She had been in failing health about one year, but death was unexpected. Mrs. Johnson was born Sept. 19, 1884, the daughter of J.D. and Elizabeth Bever McCarty. She was born in Hamilton County, Ind. She was married to Dr. E.E. Johnson Dec 5, 1905. He preceded her in death Nov 4, 1953. She is survived by three sons, Theodore E Johnson of Kingman, H. Paul Johnson of Brevard, NC, and Harrel H Johnson of Covington; three grandsons, two granddaughters, several great -grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded by three brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Covington Methodist Church, Kingman Order of Eastern Star, Win-One Sunday Class, Troy Home Demonstration Club and the Royal Neighbors. The body is at Hegg Funeral Home where friends will be received after noon today. Services will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Donal Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Donald Ashley, pastor of the Covington Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
