Funeral services for Mrs. Helen E. Johnson, life resident of Attica, age 50, who died Saturday morning, April 16, at Home Hospital in Lafayette, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Louis Haskell officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
Mrs. Johnson, who had been hospitalized since March 17, resided at 103 E. New St., Attica, with her husband, Lee Robert Johnson. They were married Jan. 16, 1937. Mrs. Johnson was born in Attica June 14, 1915. She was a member of the Attica Methodist Church, Pythian Sisters Lodge, War Mothers and the Home Industrial Club.
Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: two sons, John Robert of Williamsport and Thomas Michael, stationed in Germany with the Army; her mother, Mrs. Ruth Yarborough of Attica; one brother, Donald of Goodland; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Best of Aroma Park, Ill., Mrs. Evelyn Horn and Bertha Yarborough, both of Attica, and one grandchild. – jlr
