JOHNSON, Gladys Kirts - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Lafayette - Gladys M. Kirts Johnson, 85, 4950 S. 1075 East, Lafayette, formerly of Kramer, died at 3:25 p.m. June 6, 1994 at Home Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient for two weeks. She had been ill for two months. She was born near Riverside Nov 4, 1908, daughter of Charles H. and Mary McKinney Kirts. She married Jan 16, 1928 in Attica, William C. (Bill) Johnson. He preceded in death Nov 12, 1989. She had lived in Kramer 62 years before moving to Lafayette in 1989 where she made her home with her son. She was a homemaker and attended Free Methodist Church. Surviving are son, Thomas C (Joyce) Johnson, Lafayette; grandson, Kerry L. Johnson; granddaughter, Karla J. Peffley; great granddaughter, Layla Johnson; sister, Wilma Kirts, Lafayette and brother, Don Kirts, North Carolina. She was also preceded in death by a brother, four sisters and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery at Williamsport.
