Carl Leonard Johnson, 75, father of Helen L. Dotson of Attica, died at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Danville. He had been a patient there since October. He was born in Gotenburg, Sweden and had lived at 812 Commercial Ave., Danville, Ill., the past 30 years. He was married July 4, 1941, in Bronx, N.Y., to Ethel Helen Carlson, who died May 2, 1975. He was a construction worker. He served in the Navy during World War II, and was a disabled veteran. His hobby was fishing. Surviving with the daughter, Mrs. Dotson of Attica, are another daughter, Linda D. Carter, Danville; two brothers, Eric Magnuson, Danville; and a sister, Helen Comer, Phoenix, Ariz. And four grandchildren. His parents, a brother and two sisters preceded in death. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 11, at the Pape Memorial Home and Gardens, Danville, Ill. at 2 p.m. with Pastor Delmar Krueger officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville with Curtis G. Redden American Legion Post 210, military rites. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. -s-
