JENNINGS Gilbert - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Gilbert Jennings of Hoopeston, Illinois, age 59, died Friday night, June 17, in Carle Foundation Hospital at Urbana, Illinois. He was born in Beecher City, Illinois, July 19, 1923, the son of Lawrence and Florence L. Frailey Jennings. November 10, 1945, he married Lila M. Ulbricht, who survives. A Marine veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Milford, Illinois, and the American Legion at Hoopeston. He had been employed with Norfolk and Western Railroad for 25 years and by Food Machine Corporation for four years.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Diane Covault of Veedersburg and Gloria, at home; two sons, Dennis of Kentland and Michael of Stockland, Illinois; two sisters, a brother and nine grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home in Hoopeston with Rev. Ron Henwood officiating. Burial was in Floral Hill Cemetery at Hoopeston.
