JENKS, Cleo - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Cleo Jenks of RR 3, Covington, age 77, died Thursday morning, December 23, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born at Yeddo, March 11, 1906, the daughter of Don and Eva Brewer Berto. August 12, 1925, she married Marvin Lee Jenks, who survives.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Lora Lee Davan of Covington; a son, Fred of Danville, Illinois; three sisters, Zola Dotson of Attica, Thelma Riggs and Lenora Dewlen, both of Covington; a brother, Stroson Berto of Cayuga; and a granddaughter, Janet Haynes of Covington.

  The body was taken from DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga to the Maranatha Baptist Church in Covington for funeral services Monday morning. Rev. Richard Taylor and Rev. Max Paddock officiated. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. - thanks to S
