JENKINS, Golda Smith - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica – Mrs. Golda P. Sams Jenkins, 67 a homemaker died at 6 a.m. Sunday in her home at 303 Market St, Attica. She had been in failing health three years. Born in Fairmount, Ill she attended school in Cayuga, Ind. She spent most of her life in the Attica area and formerly attended Attica Free Methodist Church. She was first married in 1935 in Newport to Lonnie Earl Sams. He died in 1965. Her second marriage was in 1967 in Veedersburg to Donald O. Jenkins, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Linda) Baker of Attica; two sons, David Same of Crawfordsville and Howard Sams of Continental, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Madge Shell of Bloomington, Ill; one brother, Kenneth Smith of Richmond; a half sister, Wandaline Smith of Covington; and one half brother, Robert York of Veedersburg. - kbz
