JAYNES, Olive Biggs - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Olive Jaynes of RR 1, Attica, age 88, died Thursday night, December 23, in Williamsport Community Hospital. She was born near Green Hill, the daughter of Jessie Grant and Ora Jaynes Stetler Biggs. In 1900, she married James Knowles, who died in 1936. August 16, 1946, she married George Paul Jaynes, who died February 16, 1977. Mrs. Jaynes was a former cook at Ryan’s and King’s Restaurants and had attended schools at Pond Grove near Otterbein.

  Survivors include two daughters, Mary Smart of RR 3, Veedersburg, and Ellen Wright of West Lafayette; four sons, Howard Knowles of Noblesville, Clyde Knowles of Lafayette, Charley Knowles of Anderson and grant Knowles of Mellott; 35 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Craig Bex officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. -s
