William E. Jasperson, 82, 2402 N. Goodlet Ave., Indianapolis, where he had lived the past 33 years, died 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Winona Memorial Hospital, Indianapolis. The former Covington resident had been in failing health the past four months.
He was born Aug. 19, 1892,in Covington, son of Peter and Mary Noble Jasperson.
He is survived by his wife, Martha L.; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Ann Mitchner, Brownsburg; Mrs. Helen Ewoldsen, Avon; one son, Marion E. Jasperson, Indianapolis; a half sister, Maxine Mortel, California; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. One brother and one half brother preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ of Covington, Oriental Masonic Lodge of Indianapolis. He was a graduate of Covington High School and worked for the C&EI railroad in Danville, Ill. He retired from Allison Division of General Motors in 1957 after 15 years as a machine repairman.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday (June 21, 1975) at the Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, Speedway, Ind. and after 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service at the DeVerter Funeral Home in Covington. -s
