Perrysville, Ind - Anna Marie Jarred, 77, of Perrysville, went to be with the Lord at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday (April 6, 1993) at her residence. She had been in failing health for 3 months. She was born Oct 10, 1915 at Covington the daughter of Charles and Jesse Smith Martin. She was employed at the Covington IGA for 12 years, working in the bakery, deli and meat departments, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Stringtown Church of God at the Strington community south of Covington where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Missionary Society. She was a member and chaplin of the Perrysville American Legion Auxiliary Post 35. She enjoyed collecting dishes and painting with water colors. She married Franklin Jarred on Sept 1, 1934 at Crawfordsville, Ind. He passed away Nov 6, 1985. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. David (Marilyn) Keller; Mrs. Bruce (Patricia) Tolbert and Mrs. Michael (Jean ANn) Montague all of Perrysville; two sons, Charles (Juidy) Jarred and Harold Jarred both of Perrsyville; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Primrose Martin of Lafayette. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Judith Ann Jarred in 1950, a grandson, Timothy Keller in August 1958 and a brother, Robert Martin. Services 2 p.m. Friday at Strington Church of God with Revs. Paul Kirby and Phil Crubaugh officiating; bisitation, 4-8 p.m. Thursday at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga and at the church after 1 p.m. Friday until the hour of service. Burial; Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington. The family requests contributions can be made to Stringtown Church of God Building Fund.
