Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon April 21, at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman for William (Ted) Janeway, age 77, manager of the Kingman Department Store and former postmaster at Cayuga for 14 years, who died at his home in Kingman Tuesday morning, April 19. Born at Silverwood March 23, 1883, he was a son of Dr. George Thomas and Clara Stenbaugh DeVerter Janeway. He was first married to Ida Todd, who preceded him in death in 1913. He was married to Elsie Corbett, who preceded him in death in 1953. Mr. Janeway was a member of the Kingman Methodist Church, past master of Cayuga F&AM 584, past patron of Cayuga OES 150 and was treasurer of the Kingman Booster Club. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frances Garlinghouse of Peru, three sons, Walton of Chicago, Wilmont of Cayuga and Jack of Valparaiso; two brothers Paul of Baytown, Tex., and Donald of Tangier Rt., a sister Mrs. Dorothy Bollerude of Durham, Calif., eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. The Rev. Hayes Hendricks officiated. Burial was in the Miller Cemetery.
