Waynetown - Mrs. Waneta Stockdale James, 63, of West Lafayette, a former resident of the Waynetown community died Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette where she had been a heart patience since Sunday.
The wife of Prof. Charles M. James of the biology department of Purdue, Mrs. James was born in Fountain County. She married Prof. James in 1918 and had lived in West Lafayette 37 years.
Mrs. James attended the Presbyterian Church and was active in art circles in West Lafayette. She was graduated from Waynetown HS.
Surviving besides the husband, are a sister, Mrs. Virginia C. Robb of Crawfordsville, an aunt Mrs. Zoa Parker also of Crawfordsville and a niece, Mrs. Maxine Rader, living in Connecticut.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Rogers & Myers Mortuary in Lafayette. Burial will be at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday. - kbz
