Hillsdale, Ind.—Mrs. Goldie J. James, 85, of the Tennessee Valley neighborhood on Hillsdale Route 1, died at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 3, 1974) at the Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton.
Born Nov. 5, 1889 in Tennessee Valley, she was the daughter of Enoch and Annabelle Wilson Jackson. She was married to Otto James, who died Dec. 3, 1964.
A life resident of the area, she was a member of the Tennessee Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Anna Harney of Granada Hills, Calif.; a son, Jack of Clinton Route 1; a brother, Tom Jackson of Hillsdale; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Mrs. Harney’s twin sister, Ruth James, who was killed in World War II.
Services were at 10 a.m. EST Friday at the Frist Funeral Home in Clinton, with the Rev. John Morris officiating. Burial was in Helts Prairie Cemetery near Hillsdale. -s
