Frank James 73 a resident of this area for the past 18 years accompanied a group of friends to the Shriners Crippled Children’s Home in Lexington, Ky Sunday where he suffered a fatal heart attack. He was taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Mr. James had been suffering with a heart ailment for several months. Prior to his illness he had been employed at a filling station at Aylesworth. A native of Kendall, Wis he was born Jan 16, 1887 to George and Sarah Newell James. He was twice married, the second time to Mrs. Blanch Pearson of Veedersburg Feb 14, 1942. Survivors include four children by the previous marriage: Melvin of Phoenix, Ariz; Harlow of Lompac, Calif and Nicholas of Eaton Rapids, Mich and Mrs. Joyce McEvoy of Jackson, Mich; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Colleen Newnum of Veedersburg and two brothers, Fred and Richard of Lansing, Mich. Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fishero Funeral Home, Veedersburg with Rev. Roy Wilson, Crawfordsville officiating. Burial was at Centennial Cemetery. – kbz
