ISLEY, Charles - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg – Charles ISLEY, 85, prominent Fountain County farmer died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday of a heart attack at his farm home five miles south of Veedersburg.  Mr. Isley was born Dec 4, 1860, son of Richard and Mary Baxter Isley and spent his entire life in this vicinity except for four years near Newell, Ill.  He was married to Elzada Bonebrake who preceded him in death in 1941.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Phipps and Mrs. Earl Jones of Veedersburg; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Largent of Veedersburg; one brother, Harry Isley of Muncie, Ill; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He was a member of Centennial United Brethren Church. – kbz
