Mrs. Rebecca Ingersoll, 76, died at her home in Waynetown Friday evening, following an extended illness of uremic poisoning which became serious about a week ago. Mrs. Ingersoll was born Jan 13 1873 in the Ingersoll neighborhood, southeast of Hillsboro, the daughter of William and Martha Ann Cade Moffett. She was married to Clayton Ingersoll, who died Aug 5 1944. After his death she moved to Waynetown where she made her home until her death. Mrs. Ingersoll was a member of the Ingersoll Christian Church and served it actively many years as a pianist. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the same church. The survivors are four daughters, Mrs. S. M. Woodruff, Frankfort, Mrs. Ralph M. Bounell, Crawfordsville; Mrs. Harrell Johnson, Covington and Mrs. W. D. Munns, Bloomington; five sons, Ralph Ingersoll, Hillsboro; James and Paul Ingersoll, Wingate; Herschell and Lloyd Ingersoll at home in Waynetown; a brother Henry Moffett, Waynetown and two grandchildren. Funeral service was held at the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. the Rev. Floyd J. Armstrong, officiated with burial in the Waynetown Masonic cemetery.
