Mrs. Rosa Van Hyfte, 68 of Attica died Thursday in the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. Born Dec 31, 1890 in Holland, she was the daughter of Leo and Emma Rooze Verhey. She was married in 1911 in Attica, to Charles Hyfte who preceded her in death in 1941. Survivors include two sons, Bernard of Attica and John William at home; five daughters, Mrs. Leon Bradley of Crest View, Fla, Mrs. Jeanette Keys of Veedersburg, Mrs. Dorothy Gross of Covington, Mrs. Clara Wolfs and Mrs. Alice Cooper, both of Attica; a brother John of Dayton, Indiana and a sister, Mrs. Victor McCool of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held Monday with burial in Riverside Cemetery. – kbz
