Santee, Calif.—Valmer Richard Hutts, 72, Santee, Calif., died suddenly at his home Feb. 22, 1989. He was born Feb. 6, 1917 in Fountain County, the son of Hershel C. and Ruth Agnes Hite Hutts. He was married to Maxine Betterton, who survives.
He was retired from the Navy, where he was serving on the California at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked.
Surviving besides his wife are a stepson, John; two step grandchildren; three brothers, Virgil, Hillsboro; Victor, Lafayette, and Harold of Michigan, and an aunt, Mrs. Leona Cook, Kingman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew. The body was cremated. – thanks to S
