HUTSLER, Dallas Vernon - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Dallas Vernon Hutsler of Monticello, formerly of Covington, age 67, died Saturday evening, March 5, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He was born at Knoxville, Iowa, March 10, 1915, the son of Delbert and Minnie Vernon Hutsler. November 18, 1939, he married Anna May Mell, who survives. Hutsler was a member of the Moose Lodge at Monticello and attended the United Methodist Church of Covington. He operated a number of restaurants, including one at Covington.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Judith Kay Fink of Dyer; two sons, Dallas Gerald of Covington and Terry Dale of Highland; a sister, Jewell Meritt of Hoopeston, Illinois; a brother, Carlos of Covington; his stepmother, Fannie Hutsler of Covington; seven grandchildren and a great grandson.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. -  thanks to S
