Jack Hurst, 47 a former resident of Veedersburg died unexpectedly Friday at his home in Painsville, Ohio. He was the son of Frank and Bessie Cade Hurst and spent his early life in the Veedersburg community. He was a graduate of the Veedersburg HS and Indiana University. Mr. Hurst resided in California for several years and at the time of his death was a salesman for the Orchard Chemical Products Company at Painsville, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Bailey; a daughter, Christine at home; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Pearson of Warren, Ohio and Mrs. Sidney Davidson of Northfield Conn and a brother, Gordon of Los Gatos, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother and his parents. Services and burial were held in Middletown Conn. Word was received here by Kenneth Cade, a cousin. - kz
