Miss Alice Hupe, one of Lafayette’s most popular young women, who was well known in Attica where she frequently visited died Thursday morning in the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where she was receiving treatment for complications resulting from two attacks of influenza suffered a year ago. Miss Hupe was assistant librarian at Purdue University until last November when she resigned on account of failing health. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Hupe. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 9 o’clock from the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lafayette burial will be made in St. Boniface cemetery. – kbz
