J. Leo Hunter, 66, Attica retired farmer died in Sarasota, Florida Saturday where he had spent the winter. He had been ill eight weeks. Born July 13, 1890 at Williamsport, he was a son of James and Amanda Bonebrake Hunter. He was married to Celia Rhodes who survives. He was graduated from Purdue University and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shrine and Scottish Rite. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jane Blind of Crawfordsville; a brother, Dr. Frank Hunter of Lafayette; a stepmother Mrs. Clara Hunter of St. Petersburg, Florida and four grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services were Wednesday at Roemer Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Dickey and Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. – kbz
