Covington – Funeral services for Asa Hunter who died Sunday at his home in Covington were held here Tuesday afternoon. The rites were conducted at the Crumley Funeral Home and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. Hunter who was 62 died at 1 a.m. Sunday following a long illness. Years ago he was employed at the C&EI Railroad shops in Danville later was a farmer in Warren County and for the past three years had resided in Covington being employed by the Indiana Highway Department. He was born at Alvin Oct 21, 1882. Mr. Hunter is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mavoureen Thompson to whom he was married on Christmas Day, 1932. Also surviving are a daughter by a former marriage, Hellen Wille of Ft. Wayne; a stepson, Maurice Wayne Thompson; four brothers, Albert of Milwaukee; Ora of Peoria; William and Claude of Covington and two sisters, Mrs. Mertie Martin of Covington and Mrs. Marie Lawson of New Castle, Ind. - kbz
