HUNT, Vera Marie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Vera Marie Hunt, the youngest daughter of Elmer F. Hunt and Catherine Zeigler-Hunt was born Feb 15, 1966 (sic - 1906) in the Bend neighborhood north of Covington and lived there until the fall of 1913 when she moved with her parents to a farm on Silver Island where she resided until her death.  When very was thirteen she united with the Bend ME Church and ever lived a true Christ life.  There was not a Sunday too bad for her to attend Sunday school.  She attended the Zion Baptist Church at Silverwood in which she took part in every way she could.  She was Sec an Treas of the Baptist Young People Union at the time of her death.  In the Spring of 1919 her mother died leaving her and a father, sister and brother to mourn their loss.  Vera had a lovable disposition and will be missed by all who knew her. She was laid to rest in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington Thursday March 15, 1923.   –- kbz
