COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) -- Roy S. Hunt, 78, a retired farmer and life resident of the Covington community, died at 3:15 p.m. yesterday (Feb. 25, 1970) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been ill two months. Born Sept. 21, 1891, in Covington, he was the son of William and Louisa White Hunt. He was married Dec. 10, 1914, to Mary Bowers, who died May 15, 1926. He was married Aug. 4, 1930, to Berniece Campbell, who died April 15, 1967. He was married Jan. 19, 1960 to Lula Huffer Bash, who survives. Mr. Hunt retired from farming in 1961 and had been residing on Veedersburg Route 2. He was a member of the Troy Township Advisory Board for several years and was a director of the Covington Grain Elevator. He had been spending the past several winters in Sarasota, Fla. He also was a member of the United Methodist Church, Fountain Masonic Lodge and Tidal Knights of Pythias Lodge 36. Survivors include two sons, Ralph of Covington and Robert of Veedersburg Route 2; three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Grubbs of Covington Route 1, Mrs. Elizabeth Suiters of Covington Route 1 and Mrs. Jean Kelley of Kingman Route 1; three step children, Nolan Bash Jr. of Indianapolis, Merle Bash of Dana and Miss Eleanor Bash of O'Fallon, Ill.; 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, and several brothers and sisters. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Covington United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert H. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. Friends will be received after noon Friday. Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  --typed by Walt W
