Services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington for Mrs. Mabel Hunt who died Sunday at Lake View Hospital in Danville. The Rev. Charles Jones officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Ill for an extended period, she had suffered a heart attack earlier Sunday. Born in Georgetown she was the daughter of David and Sophia Frazier Newlin. She was first married to Russell C. Allen Aug 26, 1912 and he died Oct 21, 1939. She then married Sharon Hunt Dec 30, ,1945 and he died Aug 7, 1955. Mrs. Hunt is survived by three brothers and two sisters: Frazier and Ottos Newlin, both of Georgetown; John Newlin of Chicago; Mrs. Tina Miller of Danville and Mrs. Blanche Wilson of Los Angeles; several nieces and nephews. She had been a resident of Covington 45 years. – kbz
