HUGHES, Margery "Peg" - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Margery “Peg” Hughes of Cayuga, age 78, died Saturday morning, April 24, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. She was born in Cayuga, September 4, 1903, the daughter of John and Rachael Jarvis Higgins. She was married to Everett Hughes, who died in February 1980. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Cayuga United Presbyterian Church and was a secretary for Morgan Canning factory.

  Surviving are a son, Phil of Covington; a brother, Jack Higgins of LaCrescenta, California; and two grandchildren

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga with burial in Thomas Cemetery at Newport.
