Mrs. Mary Ann Howrey, 94 of Covington Rt 1 died at 1 p.m. Friday Oct 14, 1955 at Small Nursing Home in Waynetown where she was a patient three years. Born April 14, 1861 in Wabash Township she was the daughter of John and Mary Wolfe Roads. She was married to Marion E. Howrey who died several years ago. Surviving are 7 nieces: Mrs. Leffie Cook of Covington Rt 1, Mrs. Elva Townsley of Covington, Mrs. Alma Barton of Dry Ridge, Ky, Mrs. Docia Rodgers and Miss Estella Rods, both of Oakwood, Ill and two nephews, Henry Roads of Chicago and Clarence Roads of Wingate. Also several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters and one half-brother. Mrs. Howrey was a member of Wabash Chapel Evangelical United Brethren Church and charter member of Wabash Chapel Ladies Aid Society. Services were held Sunday afternoon at Wabash Chapel Church with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – kbz
