COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hegg Funeral Home for William G. Howard Sr., 65, retired carpenter and former resident of Covington, who died Friday at St. Petersburg, Fla., where he had lived for eight years. His death was unexpected. The Rev. Glenn Ray will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Mr. Howard was born Sept. 13, 1892, at Gessie, the son of William H. and Mary Annetta Holson Howard. He was married in April, 1913, to Roberta Baldwin, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Reatha Simerl, Mrs. Lois Allen, Mrs. Katherine Hale and Mrs. Iola Darnell, all of Covington; a son, William Jr. of Covington; five brothers, Cleve of State Line, Ernie of Breashear, Mo.; Charles and James of Danville, Ill., and Dewey of Covington; two sisters, Alice Osborn of Kingman and Florence Thomas of St. Petersburg; 20 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  --typed by Walt W

Services were held Tuesday at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington for William G. Howard, Sr., 65, former resident of Covington who died Friday at St. Petersburg, Florida where he had lived for eight years.
The Rev. Glenn Ray officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Howard was born September 13, 1892, at Gessie, the son of William H. and Mary Annetta Holson Howard.  He was married in 1913 to Roberta Baldwin, who survives.
