ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) — Roy L. Howard, 79, of Sarasota, Fla., a former area resident, died at 9 p.m. Monday (April 6, 1970) at Doctors Hospital there. He had been ill a year. Born Oct. 3, 1890, in Williamsport, he left the Williamsport area in 1941 when he moved to South America. He was employed by a construction company there. In 1945, he returned to Whiting, Ind., where he was employed in construction and he later resided in Cleveland, Ohio. He was married Sept. 5, 1916, in Williamsport to Minnie Carlson, who died Feb. 3, 1968. Mr. Howard was a member of the Whiting Christian Church and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters of America. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Fleming of Sarasota, Fla.; two brothers, George of Williamsport and Homer of Urbana; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Turner of Lafayette and Mrs. Margaret Mohi of Kenosha, Wis.; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Saturday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. George Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. -- typed by Walt W
