HOWARD, John Ronal - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

John Ronald Howard, 16 of Clinton died at the Vermillion County hospital in Clinton at 11 p.m. Thursday June 17 following an illness of two days.  He formerly resided in Hillsboro and had resided in Clinton for the past 18 months. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Howard; a brother, Merle L. and a sister, Patricia, both at home; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Lamb of Fairmount, Ill and paternal grandfather, Elton Howard of Hillsboro. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Karnovich Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Harry Smith officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Clinton.  Those attending from Hillsboro were Elston Howard and his son Cecil Howard who was called here from Phoenix, Ariz by the death of his mother; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rice and son, Merlyn, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Thompson, Mrs. Walter Benefield and Mrs. Louie Bever. – kbz
