Gerald C Howard, 31, of Walkerton, Route 1, a former Fountain County resident, was killed Tuesday morning January 4, 1977 in a traffic accident in Pennsylvania. He was born in Crawfordsville on June 17, 1945, the son of Riffle and Velma Brook Howard. In 1970 he married Myra Romine in Indianapolis. She survives. He was a graduate of Brazil High and attended Indiana State University. He was employed at the Kroger store in Plymouth. Mr. Howard was a member of the Assembly of Good Church in South Bend and also a member of the Indiana National Guard. Other survivors include a son, Shane Matthew at home, his mother of Kingman; and a sister, Mary Howard of Bremen. His father, Riffle Howard, was a popular EUB Minister in South Fountain County. He died May 4, 1975. Services at the Johnson Funeral Home in Plymouth, with the Rev. Eston Brook officiating. Burial in Shelby Cemetery near Versailles. --tch
