HOWARD, Dennis - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Dennis R. Howard, 53 of Valparaiso, died Monday Nov 1, 2004.  He was born Aug 31, 1951 in Wabash Twp, Fountain County, IN to Gordon J. and Elizabeth M. Payton Howard.  A 1969 graduate of Covington HS and attended Purdue University.  Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and volunteering with children.  He was formerly employed in Construction Management. A resident of Valparaiso the past 14 years, he previously lived at Covington, IN and California. Survived by his mother of Crawfordsville; his stepmother Lillian Howard of Covington IN; his son Phillip Michael Howard of Valparaiso; two brothers, Darrell (Debbie) Howard of Crawfordsville and Jerry (Brenda) Howard of Monticello IN; sister Vernice (Richard) Foxworthy of Hope, IN; two step brothers, James (Susie) Boger of Covington and Larry (Cindy) Boger of Hobart IN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov 4, 2004 from 5-7 p.m. at Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N Campbell St, Valparaiso IN. Also on Friday Nov 5th from 10 a.m. till service time at 11 a.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home, 662, 3rd St, Covington IN with Randy Walters officiating.  Burial, Mt. Hope Cemetery.  Family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to a Trust Fund for his son Phillip Howard at Bank One, 101 E. Lincolnway, Valparaiso IN 46383. - kbz
