HOUSTON, Mary Britton - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mary Elizabeth Houston of Crawfordsville, age 60, died Sunday, May 22, at her home. She was born in Vigo County, June 17, 1922, the daughter of Albert and Dorothy Buffington Britton. November 20, 1943, she married Marion Houston, who died October 16, 1978. Mrs. Houston was educated in the Brazil schools and was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

  Survivors include four sisters, Ann Hughes of Indianapolis, Esther Clawson of Veedersburg, Ethel Servies of Crawfordsville and Una Butcher of Brazil; five brothers, Edwin Britton of St. Louis, Missouri, David Britton of Crawfordsville, Paul Britton of Arvada, Colorado, Phillip Britton of Brazil and Tom Britton of Indianapolis; and a half sister, Lucille Priebe of Greencastle.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Richard Baker officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville
