Mrs. Maggie E. Houston, age 80, former resident of the Clinton area and who had been living with her son, Lawrence, on Covington Rt. 2, for four years, died about noon Saturday, July 1, in Lowell. She had been visiting in Lowell with her daughter, Mrs. Katherine Reed. Mrs. Houston, who had been ill for several years, also had lived in the Gary area. Surviving are the son and daughter, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, a daughter and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death. The body was at the Slaughter Funeral Home in Whiting, but was taken to the Frist Funeral Home in Clinton for services today, Wednesday.
