HOUSER, Roy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Roy M. Houser of RR 1, Covington, age 81, died Friday morning, August 27, at his home. He was born at Hoopeston, Illinois, February 17, 1901, the son of George and Isadora Lattimore Houser, In 1935, he married Grace Obenland, who survives. He had worked for the New York Central Railroad.   Surviving also are a daughter, Margaret Clayburn of Monahans, Texas; two sons, Roy M. Jr. of Westville, Illinois, and Fred D. of Covington; two stepdaughters, Betty Carlson and Nellie Murphy, both of Sherman, Minnesota; a sister, Minnie Cain of Watseka, Illinois; 19 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home in Hoopeston with Rev. Billy Wiles officiating. Burial was in Floral Hill Cemetery at Hoopeston. – thanks to S
